Here you can find several of my Matlab® toolboxes.
- miniSeed Toolbox – A toolbox to read and write miniSeed files.
- seismoWeb Toolbox – A toolbox to request inventory and waveform data from seismological data centers using webservices.
The miniSeed toolbox uses the IRIS libmseed miniSeed library to read and write miniSeed formated files in Matlab. The miniSeed toolbox currently uses libmseed version 2.5.
Download: miniSeedToolbox 1.0.2
Documentation: The miniSeed toolbox includes documentation that appears in the Matlab Help Browser when adding the miniSeed toolbox root directory to the Matlab path or when changing the current Matlab folder to the miniSeed toolbox root directory.
The seismoWeb toolbox is a collection of Matlab and Java tools providing access to seismological webservices. The current focus lies on the NERIES earthquake data portal webservice, but it is intended to add more webservices from other seismological data centers in the future. With the seismoWeb toolbox you can request and explore the inventory of the Orfeus Data Centre (ODC) and you can request waveform data from the ODC. Having the miniSeed toolbox installed you can directly load the requested waveform into the Matlab workspace. The seismoWeb toolbox is perfect for quick experimenting with earthquake data, for teaching using real-world and up to date data and it can also be used for automated data collection. Data retrieval made easy!
If you have got a hint for a webservice to be added, please let me know: info[@]stefanmertl[dot]com.
Download: The toolbox source code is hosted as a SourceForge project. You can find the download link of the most recent release at the seismoWeb project’s page.
